Be in the Shot

by Ariane - Creative Director @Storymix Media on 04/23/2009

Are you the photographer/videographer in your family?

Has anyone ever asked for your photo and it’s only then you realize you don’t have any of yourself?

I found this one out when trying to categorize our 1500 family photos and several hours of video from 2008. I was only in about 10 photos and under 1 minute of video. Pretty pathetic.

In fact, most of the photos were from that awful angle of holding the camera at arm’s length and snapping a photo.

The best remedy is try to force yourself to let go of the creative reins a little. When you already have the camera out, hand it to someone else for a few minutes.

Even if the people around you are notorious for cutting off their subject’s heads in photos, hand them the camera anyway – at least you’ll have one photo of your torso from 2009.
