You innocently ask, “Who cares about red-eye?” Photo processing software can easily handle this. True, but for some reason this works better on blue-eyed subjects than brown eyed ones. Huh?
Many software programs like Photoshop Elements and iPhoto offer automatic redeye correction. Just make sure you are super zoomed in on the face when you do this.
For some reason, on brown eyed subjects, when you attempt to do a redeye correction, the programs will select their cheeks, or another part of their face.
In the photo above, all the subjects have red-eye.
When we apply the automatic redeye correction, the blue eyed subjects are back to looking like Frank Sinatra…

Great, now she has some nifty blue eye shadow on her eyebrow and still looks possessed.
Let’s try correcting it “manually”.

To achieve this look we simply used a 13 pixel fuzzy paintbrush with reddish brown paint to fill in her eyes. To keep a natural look, make sure to leave the highlight in the pupil white, or add a dab of white with the paintbrush.
